How long does a 30,000-puff vape actually last?

There is no honest answer in weeks, and anyone who gives you one is guessing. A 30,000-puff device lasts exactly as long as 30,000 of your puffs — minus a correction factor. Both halves of that sentence need explaining.
The arithmetic
Divide the rating by your daily puff count. That is the optimistic answer:

Most people who guess their own number guess low. If you want the real figure, count for one day — an honest tally beats an estimate, and it changes which device you should buy.
Why you will not reach the printed number
Puff ratings are produced on a machine that takes short, even draws of a fixed length, in a lab, at room temperature. That test exists so devices can be compared, not so you can plan your month. Three things eat the difference:
- Your draw is longer. A satisfying pull is often two to three times the test draw. Every extra half-second is liquid.
- The battery. On a device without USB-C charging, the cell gives out before the tank does. The last third comes out weak and warm, and thousands of paid-for puffs simply never happen. This is the single biggest reason to only buy rechargeable models above 20,000 puffs.
- The last few millilitres. No wick empties a tank completely. There is always liquid left when the flavour goes.
Half to two thirds of the rating is the range we would plan around, on every brand. It is not a defect and it is not specific to one manufacturer — it is what the test measures versus what you do.
How to tell it is nearly done
The end is gradual, not sudden. In order: the flavour flattens first, then the vapour thins, then the draw turns warm and slightly harsh. On a rechargeable device, charge it once before you conclude it is finished — a flat battery produces exactly the same symptoms as an empty tank, and people throw away half-full devices because of it.
Which size should you buy, then?
- Under 200 puffs a day. A 25,000–30,000 device already lasts you months. Going bigger mostly buys you flavour fatigue.
- 300–600 a day. This is where 30,000 to 45,000 makes sense: roughly a month per device, and you will still like the flavour at the end.
